LEGAL DISCLAIMER

Your healing is your responsibility at all times. We therefore encourage you to make your own health care decisions based upon your own research and in partnership with qualified health care professionals. In the event that you use the information from the Wise Women’s Collective’s (“WWC”) website and/or our work together for your own health, you are prescribing for yourself which is your right and for which we assume no responsibility.

The WWC’s contributors (or wise women) are not regulated health professionals (e.g. Medical doctors, physicians, nurses, naturopaths, psychologists, or psychotherapists). We do not diagnose ailments, diseases, defects or disabilities of the human body (collectively, “illnesses”) prescribe drugs, cure, or treat illnesses. Persons with a physical or psychological illness that require a medical doctor, psychologist, or psychotherapist should seek the advice of licensed practitioners.

We can assist you in your healing by providing information from our own healing experiences and/or by using a variety of ancient mind-body-spirit healing practices, but ultimately, healing comes primarily from within yourself. The purpose of energy work is to restore your energetic balance and help you regain a state of well-being naturally. Our work together and WWC’s website content are not intended to be substitutes for appropriate medical care by a licensed healthcare provider or alternative care by a registered drugless therapist, but are intended to work synergistically with any other types of healing work you undertake, including conventional medicine. We do not advise you to discontinue any medical treatment you may be receiving. While working together, we may discuss the major stressors in your life, your belief systems, health history, your childhood, and other issues that have an influence on your emotional and physical well-being. These discussions will be kept confidential, except:

a) if and to the extent authorized by yourself;

b) as required for our professional supervision where your name remains anonymous, and only to the extent necessary to achieve the purposes of the supervision;

c) when disclosure is required to prevent a significant risk of bodily harm to yourself or others;

d) as required by law; or

e) if we are defendants in a civil, criminal, or disciplinary action arising from the client relationship (in which case client confidences may only be disclosed in the course of that action).

By interacting with WWC’s website content, contacting and/or working with any of WWC’s contributors, you state that you have read and understand the conditions set forth in this disclaimer, that you agree to all of its terms and conditions, and that you interact with WWC’s content and/or its contributors voluntarily.
